Obituary for Dorothy Zlotnick

Dorothy Zlotnick, 89, of Stuart, Florida passed away on December 8, 2017. Mrs. Zlotnick worked as an executive secretary at Suffolk County Community College in Selden, N.Y. An active member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Stuart and in her community of Pine Lakes Garden and Estates, Stuart, Dorothy loved to play cards, especially canasta, and enjoyed painting, crafts, and sewing.
Mrs. Zlotnick is survived by her daughter, Judith (Ronald) Pennenga of Evans, Georgia; sister, Jeanne Licht of Newark, Delaware; and two grandsons, Ronald M. Pennenga Jr., of Stuart, and Timothy S. Pennenga, of Brandon, Florida; seven great grandchildren, and many other relatives. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George Zlotnick (2014); son, Thomas E. Johnson (2017); and daughter, Nancy E. Johnson (1990).
A memorial service will be held at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Stuart, 5150 SE Railway Ave. Stuart, Florida 34997 on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 1PM. Burial will take place at South Florida National Cemetery on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11:15am, Lane #1
Floral arrangements may be delivered to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church between 11-12:30 pm.
A reception will follow the church services at Pinelake Gardens and Estates, 6854 SE Morningside Drive, Stuart, Florida, between 3-6 pm.
Arrangements are under the direction of Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida 34994.
