Gerald E.  Kuhns
Gerald Edgar Kuhns passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30 2017. He was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on June 24, 1928 to the late Edgar Henry Kuhns and Ruth Suzanne Diefenderfer Kuhns. He was the third child after brother David Henry and sister Althea Pauline Kuhns Sewards.

While working at Town Auto Chevrolet He met the woman of his dreams, June, who he was married to for 66 years. He was very proud that three generations were all married on July 16th, himself, son, Scott, and grandson, Christopher. He attended business college in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He also worked in his family owned furniture store. He served in the US Army where he taught radio repair during the Korean war. He grew up in Allentown, PA and lived in Miami Shores before relocating to Stuart to be near his family. He owned his own business, Hialeah Auto Brokers.

His hobbies included restoring cars and making model airplanes with his son. He was a pilot and enjoyed not only flying, but also restoring his planes. He participated as a member of Lions Club International. He loved driving and visiting the National Parks.

Jerry is survived by one son, Dr. Scott L Kuhns and his wife, Linda of Sewall’s Point, Florida; and two grandsons, Dr Christopher Kuhns and his wife, Dr Mary Kuhns of Gainesville, Florida and Michael Kuhns also of Gainesville.

A Service to Celebrate His Life will be determined at a later date at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2450 SE Ocean Boulevard, Stuart, Florida.
