James J. Eddy, 82 of Stuart, Florida passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart.
Mr. Eddy was a native of Ballybunion, Ireland born August 19, 1934 to the late John “Jack” eddy and the late Mary “May” McCarthy Eddy.
He lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Washington Township, Mayslanding, New Jersey and Stuart, Florida.
Mr. Eddy was a retired police officer for the city of Philadelphia. He was also a United States Air Force Veteran.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Eddy was preceded in death by his brothers, John Eddy and Denis F. Eddy; sisters, Patricia Wozniak and Anne Wozniak; and nephew, Mark Eddy.
Survivors include his beloved children, Kevin T. Eddy and wife, Kimberly of Stuart, Florida; Mike Eddy of Linwood, New Jersey; Mary Eddy of Sewell, New Jersey; two brothers, Michael Eddy and wife, Florence of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; Gene Eddy and wife, Dena of Hammonton, New Jersey; sister, Mary Kenneally and husband, John of Springfield, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Janet Eddy of Stockton, California and Joan DeRatto Eddy of St. Simons Island; and Grandchildren, Miranda Eddy, Kaitlin Mary Eddy, Mason Eddy and James J. Eddy.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Monterey Yacht and Country Club, 1991 Palm City Road, Stuart, Florida 34994 at 4 PM, Thursday, August 10, 2017.
