Marian Lough,77, of Stuart, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Born on July 4, 1939 to Gilbert and Margaret Dugan of Lilly, PA, Marian graduated from Mt. Aloysius Academy in Cresson, PA. Marian is survived by her daughter, Lauren Lough of Stuart. son, Craig Lough of Encino, CA, her sister, Jan Lindsay and husband Noel Lindsay, of Stuart, niece, Karen Lindsay of Stuart and nephews Noel, Jr., of Ross, CA and Brian and Kevin Lindsay of Stuart. "Dixie", as she was affectionately known to her family and friends, was loved by all who knew her for her for her kind and caring heart and her Irish wit and personality.
Her professional modeling career started in Pittsburgh, PA and after marriage to Edward Lough and a move to California she entered the business field and rose to the position of administrative assistant to the president of Redkin, Inc.
After retiring, Marian moved to Stuart where she volunteered in the Grandmother Program, tutoring first and second grade students. She also served as Secretary on the founding board of Mary's Shelter of the Treasure Coast.
Marian was a devout Roman Catholic and belonged to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart where a Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 28 at 10 AM.
She will be interred at St. Brigid Cemetery in Lilly, PA.
