Wanda M. Partman, 95 of Stuart, Florida passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at her home.
Born August 13, 1921 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Boleslaw and Anniela Drozde. Mrs. Partman moved to Palm Beach County in 1972 and resided in Deerfield Beach for 13 years and Boynton Beach for 30 years, moving to Stuart one year ago.
She was one of the many women who worked in factories during World War II, many of whom produced munitions and war supplies. These ladies are often referred to as being a “Rosie the Riveter “. After World War II she worked as a telephone operator before getting married to Ralph Partman and beginning her new career as wife and mother.
Mrs. Partman was a member of the Roman Catholic faith and had attended St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Boynton Beach.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Partman and Kathy Safewright; grandchildren, Kelly Safewright and Brian Safewright; and great grandchildren, Kylar, Vanessa and Cody.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Partman was preceded in death by her brother Walter Drozodski.
Committal Service will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Boynton Beach Mausoleum with Fr. Rick Ricardi officiating.
