Obituary for Ernest J. Woleslagle

Ernest J.  Woleslagle
Ernest James ( Ernie) Woleslagle, 85, passed away peacefully with family near his bedside on June 12, 2017
Born in Phillipsburg, Pa. to the parents Ernest Laws Woleslagle and Irene McCoy Woleslagle on March 20, 1932
Ernie and his family of two sisters and one brother moved to Niagara Falls, NY when he was 4.
Ernie began working at Bell Aircraft as a plant protection guard before transferring to Florida to begin working for
United Technologies Corp. Pratt Whitney Aircraft when they began operations in 1958. He worked there for 33 years
before retiring in 1991. Starting as a plant protection guard and working his way up to the Industrial Security area
where he was involved with the " Black Programs"
During his years in Jupiter, Fl. he met his wife of 42 years, Theresa ( Krueger) Woleslagle.
After retirement , they enjoyed biking, boating, fishing RVing and traveling with family and friends world wide!
Ernie enjoyed every aspect of work and play!! He was a leader of Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Jupiter, Tequesta
Athletic Association as chief umpire and president, Belonged to Jupiter Police Auxilary, Jupiter Civil Action Council,
was a member of American Society of Industrial Security ( ASIS) President of Palm Beach Co. CrimeStoppers,
President and charter member of Jupiter Jacees, Charter member of GWRRA and charter member of HOG ( which his wife was NOT happy doing)
Charter member and VP and President of Treasure Coaster RV Club ( which she DID love)
Ernie is survived by his wife, Theresa,ex-wife Janelle Dees, daughters, Sherry Smith (Phil) Dawn Sunderland and his son, Jeff Woleslagle(Nancy).
Step-daughters,Angela Beausoleil (Steve) Valeri LaPrade (Brian) two grandsons, two granddaughters,two step-grandsons,one step-granddaughter, two great grandsons and nieces and nephews.
Ernie was a member of Peace Presbyterian Church on Cove Rd.
In lieu of flowers , if you wish, you may donate to your favorite charity in his honor, or plant a tree in his memory, or just take a child fishing!!
Celebration of Life Service will be 1 PM, Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home in Stuart. A guest registry may be signed at www.treasurecoastseawinds.com
