Obituary for Jerry Pauley

Jerry  Pauley
Jerry Lee Pauley, 70, of Hobe Sound, Florida passed away on May 9th, 2017 at the Treasure Coast Hospice Houses in Stuart, Florida.

Mr. Pauley was born on August 26th, 1946 in Deer Park, Missouri. He was the son of Altie and Oneita Henry Pauley. He was the husband of Wanda Allensworth Pauley for forty-seven years and had one son, David. A 1965 graduate of Hickman High School where he was a member of the marching band. Jerry was a proud veteran of The United States Navy. He is a graduate of University of Missouri, while earning his degree and after he worked for Williamsdale Nursery. He and his family lived in Rocheport for several years and for a time he was Mayor. He worked for Syngenta in its various incarnations for 33 years before retiring.

A resident of Missouri, Illinois, Georgia, Ohio, Tennessee and Florida Mr. Pauley traveled the world extensively for both work and pleasure. He was an avid golfer, lifelong Missouri Tiger fan and on the board of directors of the property owners association of the Falls at Lost Lake. He was of the Episcopal faith and attended St. Mary’s in Stuart, Florida. He loved his family in Missouri and never let too much time pass before making a trip back for a visit.

Mr. Pauley is survived by his wife Wanda Pauley of Hobe Sound, Florida and his son David Pauley of Marietta, GA, Brother of Dale (Mary Ruth) Pauley, Terry (Erma) Pauley, Larry Joe (Vicki) Pauley, Vernon (Nancy) Pauley all of Columbia, MO, Martha Rissler of Lake Forest, CA and Alberta Anderson of Hemet, CA. Brothers in-law of Sharon Pettitt of Hannibal, MO, and Elvin Rickard of Riverside, CA.

He is predeceased by his father Altie Pauley, his mother Oneita Henry (Paul) Sapp. His in-laws Clifford and Dorothy Allensworth. Also, his sisters Peggy (Pauley) Rickard and Norma (Pauley) Cunningham, her companion Richard Knipp and brothers in-law Donnie Pettitt, Harold Allensworth, Robert Rissler and Robert Anderson.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held beginning at 2 PM until 4 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home Chapel. Military Honors by the United States Navy and Sharing and Remembrances by Family and Friends will begin at 2:30 PM.
