Gregory James “Greg” Stras, 83, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away on April 15, 2017 at St. Lucie Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Stras was born January 15, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Elizabeth Stras.
Mr. Stras was of the catholic faith and a member of St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church serving as a usher and Eucharistic Minister. Greg was member of the Knight’s of Columbus 3rd degree. Mr. Stras served our nation in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked as a salesman in the appliance industry for many years.
Mr. Stras is survived by his loving wife’ Corrine Stras of Port St. Lucie, Fl., daughter; Danielle (Joseph) Nipitella of Port St. Lucie, brother; Gerard(Donna) Stras of Schaumberg, Ill., grandchildren; Vincent Nipitella, Maria Nipitella and Isabella Nipitella. Niece Cindy Stras Fiermuga and nephew; Keith Stras; He was preceded in death by granddaughter; Brooklyn Marie Nipitella.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church on Tuesday May 2, 2017 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida at 2PM.
