William R. Lierl, 66 of Stuart, Florida passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart.
Born March 28, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio he was the son of Martin and Emily (Boing) Lierl. Bill attended St. Xavier’s in Cincinnati and earned an Associate’s Degree.
He moved to Florida 28 years ago, moving to Stuart from Port St. Lucie 17 years ago.
He was a receiver for Lowe’s in Jensen Beach.
Bill had been a body builder and entered many contests in the Eastern United States, including 1992 - Masters Nationals - NPC - MiddleWeight - 3rd; 1995 - Southern States - NPC - Masters 40+ MiddleWeight - 1st.
He also owned and drove race cars while living in Ohio and was a motorcycle enthusiast.
Bill was a member of the Roman Catholic faith.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, Arlene; step-daughter, Dena Browning (Keith); step-son, Michael Dillon; brothers, Joseph Lierl (Jenny) and James Lierl; sisters, Mary Ann Smith (Verne) and Tina Stultz (David).
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore, who passed in 2015.
